In June 2019, two Ukrainian technical experts of the E.O Paton were invited to KIWAY's factory in Zhuhai and we had began a one-month technical exchange. In the meantime, we had discussed about the pulsed flash welding technology and basic theory, and they greatly helped us to gain a deep understanding of pulsating flash welding.
During the technical exchange, we had visited multiple customers with these two experts. Combining the basic theory of flash welding with engineering applications from machine drop weight test to the parameters adjustment for different welding accuracy through in-depth exchanges. What’s more, customers can not only communicate face-to-face with the welding experts of Barton Institute to understand flash welding technology, but also get expert on-site technical support, to help customers who purchase KIWAY Mechanical Rail Welding Machines solve application related issues.
KIWAY insists on being responsible for every equipment sold
A K922 rail welding machine operating in the "most difficult subway line", the Chengdu Metro Line 18 project segment, successfully passed the drop weight test in November 2018, and all tests were qualified. However, the customer has high acceptance requirements for welded joints and they strives for excellence, although our welded joints conform to the iron standard and we have avoided all the flaws, the parameter setting does not meet the customer's actual welding accuracy requirements.
When our customer gave us feedback on this situation, it happened that the Barton technical experts came to KIWAY for technical exchanges. After receiving customer’s feedback, KIWAY arranged the service engineer and these two experts to the welding site of Chengdu Metro Line 18 for the first time to figure out the problem. By readjusting the parameters, commissioning and inspection for few days, the final flaw detection results showed that the joint was qualified to the welding accuracy required by the customer. For now, the rail welding machine maintains the best welding status and runs well on the construction lines.
In addition, KIWAY technical engineers and Barton Institute technical experts also visited a number of customer sites to conduct a simple inspection of the welding status of the K922 rail welding machine that has been sold, and to understand the customer's experience. And customers indicated that the rail welding machine has been running well since it was put on line.
